The Icetubs IceBarrel combines a compact upright design with premium materials and an integrated cooling and water-care system for convenient cold-water immersion at home.

Handcrafted from Thermowood with a 304-grade stainless steel interior, the IceBarrel is designed for seated, upright full-body immersion while requiring considerably less floor space than a traditional reclining ice bath. Its architectural wood exterior makes it particularly well suited to patios, poolside settings, home gyms, and dedicated wellness spaces.

Precise Temperature Control

The Icetubs Engine cools the water to temperatures as low as 37.4°F (3°C) and automatically maintains the selected temperature—eliminating the need to continually add ice.

Temperature and operating schedules can be controlled through compatible smartphone app control or directly from the engine's display. Wi-Fi connectivity also provides access to scheduling and Eco Mode.

Optional Heating: When equipped with the optional Icetubs heater upgrade, the IceBarrel can also heat water to approximately 100.4°F (38°C). Heating capability depends upon the configuration purchased.

Upright Full-Body Immersion

The IceBarrel is designed for a seated, upright position that allows full-body immersion while maintaining a relatively compact footprint.

The standard IceBarrel has an approximately 26.9-inch interior diameter and 26.7-inch seating depth, with a water capacity of approximately 93 gallons. Icetubs recommends the larger IceBarrel XL for users over approximately 6'2".

Thermowood & 304 Stainless Steel

The IceBarrel combines a thermally modified wood exterior with a 304-grade stainless steel interior. The Thermowood provides a warm, natural appearance suitable for outdoor environments, while stainless steel provides a durable, easy-to-maintain interior surface.

Integrated Water Care

The IceBarrel incorporates circulation, filtration, and ozone sanitation to help maintain water quality between uses.

Installation & Placement

The IceBarrel does not require permanent plumbing, allowing flexibility when incorporating it into an indoor or outdoor wellness area.

It should be installed on a stable, level surface capable of safely supporting the complete operating weight.

When filled, the IceBarrel weighs approximately 1,098 lbs. before adding the occupant's weight. This should be considered carefully when installing the unit on a deck, elevated patio, or other structure where load capacity may be a concern.

Adequate space should be maintained around the cooling equipment for airflow, operation, and service access.

Care & Maintenance

Regular maintenance includes monitoring water quality, keeping the filtration system operating properly, cleaning the tub as needed, and replacing the filter according to Icetubs' recommendations.

Icetubs currently recommends changing the filter approximately monthly and indicates a typical water refill cycle of approximately two months, although actual intervals depend on frequency of use and water conditions.
