Made from cast iron with a long steel shaft and wooden grip, the Toast Iron can rest on a cooking grate or be used directly over the fire. Cast iron retains heat exceptionally well, helping create evenly toasted, crisp results around your favorite fillings.

Butter or lightly oil the cooking surfaces, add bread and your favorite fillings, close the iron and cook over the fire. Turn during cooking as needed for even browning on both sides.

Care
Use butter or cooking oil when cooking. After use, allow the Toast Iron to cool completely, clean it appropriately and apply a thin layer of cooking oil to the cast iron. Store in a dry location to help protect the cooking surfaces.
Outdoor cooking use only. Cast iron and the steel shaft become extremely hot during use. Always use appropriate heat-resistant protection and follow Espegard's use and care instructions.
